Auto Sales Consultant (Current Employee) says"Most managers are rude and treat their people like garbage. It’s as if they never emotionally, and psychologically matured after high school. As a consequence, turnover is high. The management profile that Mile One attracts are basically police academy dropouts; ruthless, mean and manipulative. Cons: No work life balance"
Unknown (Former Employee) says"This was the worst place I ever worked in my entire career. Can't give any advice since everyone has a different experience depending on your location. Cons: promotes friends only; not great pay, benefits or time off."
Accounting (Current Employee) says"Work-life balance"
Receptionist (Current Employee) says"No training. No support. I came in at 4pm and had to sit at the reception desk until 9pm with no break. No one to cover if I needed a restroom break. The people that worked there were rude and crude. Most were uneducated liars. Every position was was like a revolving door."
Phone Operator (Former Employee) says"They literally give you no time to learn and especially no time to get to know the customer because you have 30 seconds to get rid of them, they want you to transfer everything immediately. Can't talk to any employees to get to know anyone because you have no time for that either. A script for everything, very repetitive. 10 an hour. 5 min bathroom break, you cant leave if someone is out No thanks"
Sales (Former Employee) says"There are plenty of people who worked for this company. But very few people stay. You should ask around and really get feedback before you join this organization. Too many bad stories and too much turnover. Dont ruin your life by working for this company."
Director of First Impressions (Former Employee) says"It would be a wonderful company if the management was not completely terrible and the compensation was not so low . Within the company it is clear that favoritisms outweighs actual work ethic."
Detailer/ (Former Employee) says"horrable company treats you like a piece of garbage. Will offer you a superviser position and then make up a reason not to give it to you. no advancement. BEWARE BEWARE look somewhere else for work. Cons: you name it"
Accounting Clerk (Current Employee) says"Do not i repeat DO NOT WORK here. They do not care about their employees. Supervisors play favoritism. You will not be treated equally here. You have to use your vacation days for sick days, hours missed no exceptions!! They will take ur vacation days regardless. Everyone talks about everybody it’s always drama which causes numerous amount of emails instead of talking directly to the problem. You are treated like children here. Supervisors walk around with attitudes with their noses in the air. Many people have walked out or put 2 weeks notice within days apart. Please be smart and don’t work here. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Cons: Drama, Favoritism"
Lot Attendant (Former Employee) says"Very bad management, that doesn't care about there employees i will never recommend this company to anyone, bad work atmosphere and low pay, benefits are a way too expensive for the pay that you are given, no room to grow Cons: abusive management and low pay"
General Manager (Former Employee) says"upper management truly does not care about the employees. Management above the General Manager is too young and inexperienced to call the shots. Very said as I'm sure the really high up don't have a clue Cons: not people of their word certain directors can not be trusted"
Sales Associate (Former Employee) says"The worst company I have ever worked for. I really wish there was something good to say about mileone.I think going to war is a better choice than working for this company. Cons: Everything"
Service Advisor (Current Employee) says"Mismanaged stepchild of the corporation. They need to gut everyone out and bring in new staff. They don’t have a clue but it’s definitely what one would expect from that area. The Customer Relationship Manager is unexpierienced and a waste. Gets involved to start drama and then flees after she hot potato’s the situation off to another Manager. Should definitely remove this cancer. Would dramatically have an impact on the culture there! Cons: No Management accepts ownership."
Service Advisor (Current Employee) says"This is a privately owned company and the pay scale benefits ONLY the Fader family. You bust your butt to make a decent living the pay is horrible. The health care is cheap but the deductible is $1500 for a single person. You constantly watch your back because the place is like high school with cliques. Horrible place to work, when they fire people there is no reason given. They use the "Maryland is a right to work state and they don't have to give a reason." Cons: Horrble pay"
Technician (Former Employee) says"The gm and the service manager only cares about herself and her favorites she treats everyone else like garbage the technicians there also are rude and disrespectful as well as the service advisors give pay to the other technicians when the work was completed by you Cons: Everything else"
CIC Agent (Former Employee) says"Where do i begin? Bad management, irritating work policies. Co workers and management like to pick favorites not a lot of career advanceent. Do not work here. Cons: everything"
Bodyshop (Former Employee) says"They closed our shop when the body shop employees formed a union to fight unfair wage issues. Listen to higher ups brag about winning money in company sponsored fishing tournaments while the people that worked for him went without. Went from 4 body shops in our area to two in our area because this three stooges management system. Cons: Every single thing"
Hall automotive cic (Former Employee) says"I would never work for this company ever again. The boss is a micromanager big time and it was really stressful working for this company although i worked for the company over 5 years . The typical day of work was making and taking incoming calls and setting appointments for the dealership sales and service appointments as well. The workplace culture was you have to be on the phone all the time and it was a very hard call center environment you where not allowed to use the bathroom if one person was on break which is pretty muchly all the time . They are very strict to work for and the manager is a big micromanager and also tough to work with. The hours also are not good for people with familys eithere who wants to work till everyday till 9pm every night and even on sundays too working . Cons: NOne"
Service Advisor (Former Employee) says"Awful management, no career advancements, just overall a terrible work environment. managers and employees make you uncomfortable with flirty comments Cons: Inappropriate behavior, terrible pay"
Sales mamaager (Former Employee) says"The Heritage (MileOne) who ever they call themselves this is a horrible place to work. Cons: Unappreciated and over worked"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time for more than 5 years Cons: If I could of known that they promote just to fire you, I wouldn't of worked there. Management is awful and most of them don't do their job or to busy smoking weed in the parking lot."
Former Employee - Sales Person says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time for less than a year Cons: This company does not value you it's employees at all. You will have zero work life balance. They will tell you that you're only working 40 hours a week, but once you sign on they tell you it's 50 to 60 hours a week with the same pay. No one trains anyone! The company is a joke! STAY AWAY!!!"
Former Employee - Marketing Associate says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time for less than a year Cons: The management is out of touch with the people that manage. The training provided to new employees is inadequate and management offers little help or advice. Do not be surprised if you hear others talking about you behind your back, because the office culture is a passive aggressive and toxic one. Essentially, you are nothing more than another cog in the system. The work itself is not innovative or creative. When negative reviews come in from genuinely concerned customers, do not be surprised to hear the employees laughing at the frustration of the customer. It really is quite unsettling and upsetting. Each month, the advertisements are just about carbon copies of the advertisements from the prior month. You are verbally encouraged to "speak up with creative ideas or ideas that will improve efficiency". However, if you do so, your words are likely to fall upon deaf ears, and you may gain yourself a new enemy. If you choose to work here, remember to keep your mouth shut if you have any good ideas, understand that you are just another cog in the system, and understand that the corporate culture is not a positive one."
Former Employee - Anonymous says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Working for this place the last 5 years was what I thought was the best experience of my life. I over performed did more than what was expected of me and was only getting minimal wage. This company touts about how much they appreciate the employees but actions speak louder than words. They don't care. This company only cares about numbers and quotas. They make you feel special from what they say until the moment of what they do that completely ruins and changes your life. This billion dollar company wants to force a workforce downsize on employees that deserve to be treated better because these employees are the ones that work the hardest and have more to lose. This company wants to save money so they can afford to buy another dealer or so another high paid manager that they dont need can get a raise or bonus. They barely rarely give bonuses or equal to fair pay to the actual in trench hard workers. It's a joke. Dont work here. And if you already do GET OUT and save yourself the heartache and stress. This place will eat you alive. They don't care. When they decided to cut my job they acted like they cared and told me for better opportunities they threw a list of jobs at me completely out of my talent, out of way from where I lived, and at a completely lower rate of pay. And expected me to be grateful that they offered me a job. They dont pay fair wages or give raises because they but the best lawyers and the best hr psycho analysts and linguist to make every thing sound good and to make you sound like you are the wrong one. They are morally backwards and this company one day will fail by the fault of there own. There are people and family out there that they completely destroyed and will never give anyone another look if they can save a dollar."
says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup Cons: Too much drama. Corporate should gut the whole place. Will never be more than someone’s dream. A long time ago."
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I have been working at MileOne Autogroup full-time for more than a year Cons: The corporate office is a joke. If you aren't in the it group forget it. If you have a problem with someone you might as well just not deal with it. Most of HR is a joke. If you're the victim and being bullied they will turn it around on you and make it your fault. Accuse you of being a bully or and instigator. You get paid crap money to do your job and everyone else's job. HR will have you fired for speaking your mind if it isn't what they want to hear. I wish I would have known all this before I started."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time for less than a year Cons: Wasted 2 weeks while I could be earning money elsewhere Applied for mgmt position , was told day one Id be in Sales onlu"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time Cons: terrible benefits no work life balance managers only care about themselves and personal gains rather than their own employees i worked in a department where i saw how much turnover was in the whole company-its a lot. no one wants to say and work for them"
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I have been working at MileOne Autogroup full-time Cons: Very unprofessional, from Finance Mangers to the Sales Mangers. There are a handful of awesome people but 85% are the usual " used car salesman" stigma. After being told things would be professional, ethical, and a new way of car sales thought it would be different. Worst job I have ever had. Hours are ridiculous. People are working 9am-9pm everyday to try and make their sales. Work and personal like balance, no such thing. Run for the hills. It's all about making a sale does not matter how you do it."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at MileOne Autogroup full-time Cons: - Minimal paid time off/vacation -Low wage -Weak work life balance -Minimal career development"
